Dr. Oikonomidis graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and specialized in Radiology at the “Evangelismos” University Hospital in Athens. After completing his residency, he continued his residency in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at London University Hospitals. Clinical training included all aspects of adult and pediatric MRI at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Royal Brompton Heart Hospital, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Royal Marsden Hospital, Nuffield Orthopedic Hospital, as well as Oxford hospitals.
Working Experience
Dr. Economidis is an active member of the European MRI Society and the International MRI Association. He is a member of different research groups and committees of the above organizations and has also participated in various research projects that have been funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation and other international organizations. Dr. Economidis has attended many scientific conferences and workshops in Europe and the United States and has published several articles in international scientific journals. Dr. Economidis works as a Consultant Medical Radiologist at the NEFELI Imaging Center and is also a Visiting Radiologist and MRI Specialist at Clyde and Greater Glasgow NHS Hospitals in Scotland.
